We got a call that a roof was sagging really badly. Subsequently, our investigations and inspections revealed that the framing was not holding up. Building was constructed in the 1920’s.
We went in there and cut it off from all the way down, through the plates; to the perimeter. We cut all the old studs and framing. We got new trusses, a whole new process. Instead of framing it up, we built trusses; and on the outside, the pre-measured and pre-sized trusses (specifically crafted for our project) were set on the new roof. It is perfect.
The framing was not holding. The roof was sagging. The discoloration on shingles, and spotty and sagging shingles were indications that something needed to get done.
